School of Agriculture (SOA) is an important constituent of Uttaranchal University. Established in the year 2016, it’s the best institute in Uttarakhand for the new age agro-professional and advanced learnings in Agriculture.   • In addition to core subjects, the UG degree program also focuses on developing the communication skills of students so that they can interact with farmers as well as corporate people through Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE), Agro-Industrial Attachment (AIA), and Experiential Learning (ELP) Programs. The curriculum of the PG degree program consists of Intellectual Property and its Management in Agriculture, Technical Writing and Communication Skills, Disaster Management, Library and Information Services, Basic Concepts in Laboratory Techniques, Agriculture Research, Research Ethics, and Rural Development Program Master’s Seminar, and Master’s Research.

Genetics and Plant Breeding Laboratory

Dedicated to demonstrating the practical concepts of genetics and plant breeding, and their application in agriculture.

Dairy & Poultry Laboratory

A leaning place for systematics, formulation of ration, examination of commercial products, and disease management of livestock.

Practical learning Field

Place for practicing of cultivation techniques of seasonal crops and onsite demonstration of intercultural operations.

Crop Cafeteria

Live exhibition of plant nursery, irrigation methods, soil cultivation methods, manure and fertilizer application methods, pest and pathogen identification and their management, etc. of seasonal and local crops of Uttarakhand.

Polyhouse

An advanced setup for growing crops in a standardized and protected environment.

Crop Museum

Displaying models of agricultural implements, crop herbarium, crop seeds, soil profiles, insects and their products, and many more.

Mushroom Cultivation Unit

In campus training facility for mushroom cultivation.

Navagrah Vatika

Navgrah Vatika is the center of attraction where nine different plants representing nine planets of the Solar system i.e., Calotropis Procera (Sun), Ficus religiosa (Jupiter), Achyranthus Aspera (Mercury), Ficus racemose (Venus), Butea monosperma (Moon), Acacia catechu (Mars), Cynodon dactylon (Rahu), Prosopis cineraria (Saturn) and Imperata cylindrica (Ketu). These plants are believed important for prosperity, good health, and wealth. Along with these plants, various other medicinal and aromatic plants are raised and maintained in the ‘Vatika’.

Agro Meteorological Observatory

An observatory where modern equipment and devices have been installed to study the atmospheric variables for weather forecasting.

Sericulture Unit

A place for silkworm rearing, management of their diseases, and enhancement of silk quality.

Crop Research Center (CRC)

An open research area for conducting field trials aimed at increasing agricultural production through new research.
