Uttaranchal University held its Sixth Convocation today in the august presence of the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.), who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and remarked that “India stands on the foundation of honesty, awareness, and dedication.”
A total of 2,198 undergraduate degrees were awarded, along with 35 Ph.Ds., 857 postgraduate degrees, 41 diplomas, 16 certificates, and 52 gold medals. Notably, female students secured 40 of the 52 gold medals.
The Governor paid homage at the Shaurya Deewar, received a guard of honour from NCC cadets, and was welcomed by University President Shri Jitender Joshi. The convocation procession, led by the Registrar and accompanied by Vedic chants, entered the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium.
