Established in the Treaties on Laws of old akin to the ‘Dharmashastras’, Alternative Dispute Resolution finds its roots in the covenants of the ‘Vyavahaara’, ‘Vivaada’ and ‘Madhyastha’. ADR in practice has been integrally inculcated in our glorious culture since time immemorial. The Law College Dehradun Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre was established with the spirit of amalgamating the ritualistic customary observance of ADR with the modern dynamic of a far better and efficient mode of conflict resolution that what conventionality commands.

Under the able guidance of the Hon’ble Patron and the Worthy Chairperson, LCD-ADRC has manifested unmatched potential in matter of representing the institution with honour, integrity and enthusiasm. The accorded primacy of LCD-ADRC is to propagate knowledge of Alternative Dispute Resolution, its mechanisms and procedures, among the keen and eager to learn students of Law College Dehradun. Other activities LCD-ADRC finds itself engaged in ranges from organization of Webinars and Certificate Courses, ADR competitions, participation in external competitions; National and International, training of outgoing teams, etc.

With a modus operandi based on efficiency, ethics and hard work LCD-ADRC positions itself to grow in strength and stature through the coming years all the while maintaining its primary aim to mold and shape the students of Law College Dehradun into mighty capable ADR professionals who could achieve great heights in their professional careers to come.
