Guidelines for accessing e-journals

University Library is subscribing National and International e-journals/Databases/E books to support the research and to create a networked environment for academic excellence. Faculty and students of the University may have access to these subscribed e- resources and can access the content and text as per the instruction given below:

• All subscribed E-journals/databases/E books are IP based and can be accessed on or off the campus. Click on the desired hyperlink which will take you to the publisher’s home page.

• Library members registered for remote access facility can access the subscribed E-resources even from home or off the campus through remote access facility.

• Publisher website provides following type of search facility

Simple search,
Advanced search
Boolean search (Combination search by using boolean operator (AND, OR, NOT)

• On browsing your desired search number of results will appear on screen with various kind of following symbols:

Unlocked Key: Indicate that desired document is available for download.
Locked Key: Showing this key indicates document is accessible up to abstract level only.
RSS Feed: User can also set RSS Feed subscription facility which will inform the user through email, whenever web portal is updated with new additions.

Library members are advised to submit their Feedback through feedback utility available on Library home page which will help us to improve the library services for greater satisfaction.

Remote Access Facility

Registration Process
Procedure to Register for Remote Access Facility

• Go to the University online learner (i.e.) https://staff.uttaranchaluniversity.ac.in/Login to your account
• Click on Knimbus on Top Right you will automatically Login to Uttaranchal University Remote

Access Facility

• Click on your NAME in top right
• Then Click on PROFILE -update your details and Save
• Then Click on TAB ID & ACCESS INFO – click on Raise Request at the bottom, check both tab and submitt.
• Your Request approved within 24 hours.

Procedure for Library users to access subscribed e-resources

1. Go to the University online learner (i.e.) https://staff.uttaranchaluniversity.ac.in/
2. Login to your account
3. Click on Knimbus on Top Right you will automatically Login to Uttaranchal University Library Remote Access Facility
4. Browse your Journals, Database and Books etc.

• For using library Subscribed e-Resources via Mobile Phone, you have to login the facility the first time from Desktop/Laptop.
• (Please note for better performance through mobile access, use mobile application)
