Eligibility and Selection Criteria for UUET-2024

  • The applicant should have passed 10+2/Graduation or its equivalent examination. Students awaiting their results can also appear in the UUET.
  • Detailed eligibility criteria for specific programs are available in the admissions section of the Website.

The UUET-2024 shall be a 1-hour online test with 40 multiple-choice questions, each carrying a value of 1 mark. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answer.

The set of questions will be distributed among the following three Sections:

  • English Language
  • Current Affairs & General Knowledge
  • Logical Reasoning

STRUCTURE OF THE EXAMINATION

  • The test encompasses three sections with total 40 questions.
  • The total score of the paper would be 40 marks.
  • There shall be No negative marking in the paper.
  • The duration of the paper shall be 60 minutes.
  • The paper shall be held on Online Mode with strict adherence to state-of-the-art Remote Proctored Examination supervision.
  • If a student is found to be indulging in cheating by the said process, the decision shall remain final, finite, and binding in nature.

UUET-2024 EXAMINATION SYLLABI

The test besets an examination paradigm with an intention to gauge and decipher the intellectual and perceptive standing of the students on the following parameters:

1- ENGLISH

Candidates will be tested for their knowledge of the English language and proficiency on the following topics:

  • Tenses
  • Active Voice & Passive Voice
  • Reported Speech (Direct & Indirect Speech)
  • Fill in the blanks
  • Concord (Subject-Verb Agreement)
  • Synonyms & Antonyms
  • Comprehension passage
  • Spot the Grammatical errors and correct the sentences

2- CURRENT AFFAIRS & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE

This section will include questions on both Current Affairs and Static General Knowledge. The questions will be based on news, journalistic sources, and non-fiction writings. The syllabi shall pertain on the following areas:

For Current Affairs: Candidates should keep themselves updated about:
  • Events happening nationally for at least one year.
  • Events transpiring internationally over the last year.
For Static General Knowledge: Candidates should keep themselves updated about:
  • Art & Culture
  • History of Indian National Freedom Movement
  • General Science of IX & X standard
  • Fundamentals of Indian Economy of IX & X standard
Geography – Questions shall be based on school, atlas of X standard

3- LOGICAL REASONING

Logical Reasoning will test the candidate’s ability to infer logical arguments and draw suitable conclusions. The questions shall be based mainly on the following areas:

  • Blood Relations
  • Puzzle Test
  • Seating arrangement
  • Alphanumeric series
  • Coding and Decoding
  • Order and Ranking
  • Statement and Assumptions
  • Argument and Conclusion
  • Assertion- Reason
  • Cause and Effect
  • Analogies
